Travellers are flocking to Lisbon to discover the winding alleys of the old town and mysterious hilltop castles. We have always been inspired by the magical surprises of colour found on the buildings which are covered head to toe in decorative tiles, also known as Azulejos. As a major part of Portuguese architecture and culture, most of the buildings are dressed in such an elaborate way.…. If you can’t get there to see it in person OPI has created a nail colour palette to inspire you and make you feel like you are there.
As it is still warm in Australia and about to heat up in the Northern Hemisphere, we are loving that our nails can make a summer statement. This season it is all about the ‘must have’ key accessories and we are embracing new nail art techniques to show some personality.
1. cane basket
2. gold statement earrings
3. straw hat
4. summer trainer
5. layers of gold necklaces
The cane bag is a must own bag – perfect with a little black dress or styled back with summer florals or spots. Elle is embracing the neutral look, wearing OPI’s new coral Infinite Shine ‘You’ve Got Nata On Me’. Elle has played with some simple nail art, adding a small dot on the cuticles.
Worn with your hair pulled back in a low bun, the gold earring is the perfect summer vacay look. Tash is rocking the OPI Infinite Shine shade ‘A Red-vival City’ – a classic red with a slight hint of strawberry.
Always in need of a straw hat, but this season have some fun with straw colours and details. A yellow nail is Tash’s new nail colour trend, here wearing OPI Infinite Shine ‘Sun, Sea and Sand In My Pants’. Perfect worn back with neutrals like terracotta, mustard and paprika.
The white trainer is back this season; bigger, better and bolder with added trims and details. Elle is wearing OPI Infinite Shine ‘Tile Art To Warm Your Heart’, blue tones of denim and the Atlantic Ocean. She has also added some fine brushstroke nail art.
And while we are all wearing layers of gold necklaces, this trend isn’t going anywhere. Tash is embracing 5 colours from the Lisbon collection and we are loving this new nail trend.
If you haven’t tried OPI’s Infinite Shine yet, you should! You will have long lasting shine, and colour that lasts up to 10 days! When you use the gloss finish, it creates a tough top coat similar to Shellac, but without the harsh lights. We’ve listed the simple and easy to do yourself Infinite Shine steps, to help you master the perfect mani at home!
Step 1: Prep the nail for colour by applying one coat of the Infinite Shine Primer and let it dry.
Step 2: Next, apply one coat of Infinite Shine Lacquer and let it dry.
Step 3: Finally, apply a thin coat of Infinite Shine Gloss to seal in shine and finish.
So if you aren’t able to walk the streets of Lisbon in person, you can take a trip with the new Lisbon Collection by OPI.
