Remember last year when we all queued up to buy the first collection by Jonathan Anderson for UNIQLO– it sold out pretty fast so you would have been lucky to pick up anything from the range? We are still wearing the puffer jackets and that amazing reversible trench coat! Well his second collection is here! This time the inspiration is a ‘British Summer’ but with a hint of 1950’s Brighton beach.
We had a chance to have a sneak peak at the collection and loved the unisex designs, something very true to Jonathan’s style.
We love his very British update on the striped dress, lightweight outerwear, shirt dresses and the new sailor jean. Most of the shirting and knits have he designer’s JW emblem reworked to incorporate an anchor image – very cool.
Anderson says: “In the 2nd collection of the collaboration, I’m looking for this idea of ‘British Summer,’ the idea of being on Brighton beach. Something which is very lightweight, very airy, with a lot of linen, and cotton that has a 1950s subcultural movement. With a little bit of ease and something which is quintessential.”
Don’t miss it when it hits stores April 19th.
