This year we are embracing the dress. We love the ease and simplicity of wearing dresses and how versatile they are – think day to night, office to the beach or even weekend to workwear. We will show you some tricks to maximise how to wear your dresses.

1.Embrace colour. We always naturally go for safe colours like “black” as it’s the easy option. When you wear colour you feel really good as it can enhance your mood. Here Elle wears a statement pink MSGM dress – back with a  classic heel similar to this Francesco Russo pair.

2. Wear your dresses with denim – a huge trend seen on IT girls around the world. Here Tash layers this Marni dress with a classic fit Saint Laurent jean. Wearing denim with dresses can really make your outfit look modern. Add a bright heel like this Rochas pump which always looks amazing with denim. Also we love a classic winged pair of sunglasses like the Dita “cat eye” frame.

3. Love yourself in prints – think hippy inspired, boho chic, paisley or spots. It’s all about the feminine print. So many to choose from – here are some of our favs. Lucy floral maxi, Isabel Marant ruffle poplin dress, Zimmerman floral maples dress, Dolce Gabbana rose dress.

4. Ruffles and ties – dresses with these details are really fun to wear. So pretty yet chic. Elle wears the Isabel Marant linen ruffle dress back with a Gucci GG heel.

 5. Back details – we LOVE this Vetements floral backless dress and a black background floral print is very flattering to wear. Pair it back with a bootie like this white Steve Maddan pair and the outfit is perfect. Also reflector glasses makes this outfit really modern.

Take our advice and love the dress – it will really help when deciding what to wear each morning. Add some statement  accessories and shoes – don’t forget you can wear dresses with denim (even if your boyfriend says you can’t)!
